GEONETS

Geonets consist of two sets of extruded strands of LDPE or HDPE which form a net structure with relatively large channels through which water can flow. They are often used in landfills as a drainage media for leachate collection or leak detection systems instead of sand or gravel. In these applications they are always part of a sandwich in which a geotextile and/or a gemembrane encases the geonet. Geonets are also used to form drainage composites for use as wall, slope or roof drain applications. For examples of how geonets are used for Landfill Drainage Layers or Composite Drains click on either application.
