DRAINAGE COMPOSITES
- are prefabricated drains comprised of an inner core which has a high transmissivity(allows water to pass quickly) which is protected by either a geotextile or a geotextile and geomembrane to prevent clogging of the core. The inner core can consist of geonets, perforated and dimpled polystyrene sheets, stiff entangled mesh, collapsed corrugated plastic pipe, or Styrofoam beads. Flow rates can range from 1 to over 10 gallons per minute for applications ranging from leak detection, wall and roof drains, to pavement edge drains.
